Travis Hill

Travis Hill has been practicing massage since 2016. Growing up in Hastings, Nebraska, Travis suffered an injury to his right foot that didn’t heal properly and left him with chronic pain. By the age of thirteen he found massage and its benefits for pain relief. Going to his local library and finding any information he could on massage, he started working on himself. As he grew older, with very limited options for massage in his hometown he settled as a baker for years, which brought him to Colorado where he worked at Copper Mountain Ski Resort making pastries and breads for the resort. While there his palpation sensitivity grew looking for imperfections in the doughs. In 2015 after years of working there he moved to Pheonix, Arizona to be near his mother where he found the Cortiva Institute and saw an opportunity to explore into his passion of massage. After graduating from Cortiva in 2016 Travis realized that he had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge for the human body. While practicing at a Massage Envy he continued his search and enrolled at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts where he received his mind, body, wellness practitioner certificate as well as certifications in cranial unwinding as well as polarity therapy. At this time Travis started his own private practice and joined a group called Keystone Body Therapies where he worked with post op surgery and serious injuries. Eventually Travis suffered from lateral epicondylitis and left Keystone, allowing himself to heal.

In 2020 Travis and his partner found an opportunity to move back to Colorado where they now live in Bailey. Travis has a local practice but also has been drawn towards teaching. From all the schooling, working with his peers and creating study groups focusing in on developing techniques and theory, he found a passion in teaching and learning. Travis is happy to join the Lotus Education Institute, drawing on his own education and professional experience to prepare future therapists to feel confident and capable to begin their journey before them.
